A separate LORIOT test server can significantly reduce the operational risk of your main system by providing a risk-free environment to test the latest software version, evaluate new gateway models, test API integrations, run special services such as Geolocation PoC’s and many more pre-staging scenarios.
An external Join Server handles the key storage of all OTAA devices in a network server and makes provisioning device’s on the network more secure and quicker. By hosting the Join Server in a secure environment you can add an additional layer of protection.
