Xiamen, China, and Zurich, Switzerland, Decemeber 16th 2021 - Milesight, a global provider of hardware for the Internet of Things based in China and Swiss-headquartered IoT Company, LORIOT AG, jointly announce the latest completion of software integration of Milesight gateways with the LoRaWAN® Network Server v.7 “Osprey”.
The partnership is developed to combine the diversity of Milesight LoRaWAN® IoT hardware portfolio with the versatility of LORIOT network server in order to increase the scalability for massive IoT deployments and unleash the power of IoT.
LORIOT’s self developed Packet Forwarder is now perfectly integrated with Milesight gateway models UG65 and UG67.
This integration improves the security and performance of a deployed LoRaWAN® infrastructure, adding among others a direct access SSH tunnel and security in the transport layer of the communication and transmission of packets, which implements TCP protocol . The new integration therefore raises the security and the level of information transmitted, well above the industry standard that lacks security in the transport layer and uses the UDP protocol, being more vulnerable to data loss.
LORIOT Network Server (LNS) is a service/software for operation and management of LoRaWAN® networks. It features flexible, and modular data output interfaces currently including HTTP/REST, WebSocket, TLS Socket, MQTT and several third party services.
