UX-UI Designer

We are on the quest to find a new UI-UX designer to join our product team in Valencia.

Our product team, responsible for LORIOTs core product, is looking for a UX/UI designer. Working to improve the user experience for our business users and help us deliver new features in an intuitive way.

LORIOT is a global scaleup operating in the Internet of Things industry. Our mission is to make IoT accessible to everyone in the world as we believe that technology plays an essential role in making our planet a better place.

Basic Requirements

  • Wireframing and UI prototyping
  • User-interface design and be passioned about it
  • Visual communication
  • Strong sense of web design and attuned to the fundamentals of user experience, including accessibility
  • Great communication skills
  • Interaction design & User centricity
  • Basic technical understanding of web application

Other Relevant Requirements

  • Sketch, Figma or another application for interface design
  • Agile development methods & tools (JIRA)

Qualifications & Skills

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with web technologies (object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and experience with the latest web standards including HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience designing and implementing complex UIs
  • Young spirited, energetic, easy-going person
  • Interested in Internet of Things, gadgets, and technology in general
  • Fluent in English, any other languages are an asset and can be put to good use
  • Excited about working at a startup and on small, talented team

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product team
  • Study and design user interfaces to provide the best User Experience to our customers
  • Care deeply about design, performance and execution, but not be a dogmatic perfectionist
  • Improve existing product user interfaces
  • Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices in order to push the limits of what a browser can do
  • Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Understand how our products are used
  • Participate in designing technical and functional documentation look and feel
  • Play active role in the agile development team
  • Review customer feedback
