Requirements Engineer

We are on the quest to find a Requirements Engineer to be part of our product team, working partly remotely and in our office in Valencia.

We, LORIOT, are an innovative and growing company looking to fill a Requirements Engineer role to join our growing team. We seek a highly motivated candidate with a great attitude to support our team's mission to scale, and who appreciates working in a collaborative, agile and professional environment.

Role Definition

Your primary function is to ensure that LORIOT's products meet the needs of its customers and the market. You are responsible for making sure that new core features are well defined and are implemented according to the specifications.

You will be the bridge between the technical team, responsible for the implementation, and the Business Team, which is getting the requirements from the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transform business requirements into user stories
  • Write feature requirements and gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders
  • Meet with stakeholders to ensure features and subsequent stories meet expectations
  • Serve as proxy between the technical team and business team & support
  • Define acceptance criteria for user stories
  • Review and accept user stories as complete
  • Be on top of the backlog and make sure its well maintained
  • Contribute to the product documentation and make sure the product features are well defined and documented
  • Make sure that the business teams is well trained on new product features
  • Present new features to the business team and highlight added values
  • Support the sales team in expert questions around product features

Goals

  • Each major feature has to be defined in a specification document, as of product coordinator it is your responsibility to make sure the implementation follows the specification
  • Provide the required support to the Head of Product to enable the product management process by taking over and owning the features assigned to you
  • Provide an overview and detailed implementation status information for each feature assigned to you in order to provide the necessary data for managing the product roadmap
